Cecil Oba is a Senior Capacity Building Programme Specialist at Research Triangle International (RTI)
Oba has 10 years cross-sectoral working experience with international non-governmental organizations, private and public sector such as Africare, New Nigeria Foundation, Tanat Consult Limited and Nigeria Tel. He has experience in  cross-cultural awareness, capacity building, leadership and governance, management of diverse populations, training and facilitation, database management, budget and grant monitoring, computer application, economic growth-related projects and HIV/AIDS programming.
Cecil Oba holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Nasarawa State University in Keffi. He is a professional member of Association of Chartered Institute of Administration (ACIA), he is knowledgeable in such areas as Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), gender, communication and governance.
How did you hear about NDLink and PIND Foundation?
I learned about NDLink during its formation stage in 2013. At thetime, I was a staff of New Nigerian Foundation NNF attached to a project called Participatory Partnership for Community Development (PPCD). PPCD is a partner of PIND’s, so I received the document that PIND sent to PPCD on NDLink. I learned that NDLink is a platform created to publish events, bring together development organizations, and share development news etc within Niger Delta region. I registered on the NDLink platform as a member in 2014.
What do you think about NDLink and how has it helped you professionally?
The concept of NDlink is first of its kind in Nigeria. NDLink is a platform where socio-economic development and resource material is shared. It is also a platform for discussion on issues surrounding economic growth, health issues and security with a focus on the Niger Delta. Professionally, I have gotten very vital information on the platform. I also do not miss the job posts on Mondays and Wednesdays. Â I see NDLink reaching greater heights in the future, covering more regions, broad development content, millions of membership/followers with an easy and user-friendly interface.
