The Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) seeks to engage an intern in the Warri EDC to support the Planning,Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator to improve the quality of PM&E deliverables and support to the Economic Development Program. The internship engagement will be for 12 months. The intern will be based at PIND’s office in Warri, Delta State and may be required to make field visits across the Niger Delta.
SCOPE OF WORK
The scope of work that would be accomplished in the course of the assignment are:
Support research activities – data entry and coding of data collection tools in electronic format for data collection using handheld devices; towards the establishment of baselines, outcome monitoring, and impact assessment.
Review field reports from the implementing partners.
Support case study development efforts – participate in investigation of story line for case studies/success stories.
Support data quality assurance exercises for all field data – quality assure the data trackers for data reported in periodic reports.
Upload verified indicator results on PIND’s Integrated Platform (PIP).
Collate confirmed programme beneficiaries contact information and crosscheck for consistency/ eliminate duplicate entries.
Overall support to monitoring of activities, to guarantee quality implementation of interventions by program officers.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must possess:
-A minimum of BSc/BA/HND in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics or other related field of studies.
-Good time management and organisational skills.
-Computer literacy with strong analytical and numerical skills.
-Basic understanding of databases.
-Excellent knowledge of MS excel for data analysis.
