The Foundation for Partnership Initiative in the Niger Delta (PIND) is inviting applications from qualified consultants or firms to co-design and pilot a sustainable market access and aggregation model for key agricultural commodities in the Niger Delta. This initiative is aimed at addressing systemic barriers within the agricultural value chain and enhancing smallholder farmers’ access to premium markets, ultimately fostering inclusive economic growth through increased incomes and technology adoption.
Project Overview:
This assignment will focus on developing a comprehensive market access model tailored to the needs of smallholder farmers. The selected consultant or firm will engage with key market actors, including aggregators, off-takers, and processors, to strengthen market linkages and improve the overall efficiency of the agricultural value chain in the region.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting in-depth desk research on existing market access models
- Engaging stakeholders, including aggregators, off-takers, processors, and farmers
- Designing a sustainable aggregation model tailored to the Niger Delta’s unique context
- Piloting the model with selected commodities and stakeholders
- Providing capacity-building support to ensure the model’s scalability
