The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and the Ijaw Youth Congress (IYC) have concluded arrangements to organize a Niger Delta Stakeholders Youth Summit.

The summit will hold in the first quarter of this year in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, and will be attended by about 1000 youth delegates drawn from the nine oil bearing states of the Niger Delta.

In a statement, the board explained that it decided to sponsor the event as part of its capacity building activities for stakeholders of the oil and gas industry.

It explained that the youth summit would provide an opportunity to educate youths of the Niger Delta on the various opportunities available in the oil and gas industry, and how they can take advantage of those opportunities.
