The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and Chevron Nigeria Limited (CNL), through their Joint Venture (JV) partnership, invite applications for the 2025 National University Scholarship Awards. This merit-based initiative reflects the JV’s commitment to advancing human capital development and promoting academic excellence across Nigeria’s higher education landscape.
Eligibility – Merit-Based Undergraduate Category
Applications are open to full-time, second-year (200 level) students enrolled in Nigerian universities during the 2023/2024 academic session. Eligible candidates must be pursuing degree programs in any of the following disciplines:
- Accountancy
- Agricultural Science
- Architecture
- Business Administration / Economics
- Computer Science
- Environmental Studies / Surveying
- Geology / Geophysics / Geo-informatics
- Law
- Mass Communication / Journalism
- Engineering
- Dentistry
- Pharmacy
- Medicine / Surgery
Academic Criteria:
- Minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale (or equivalent).
- Minimum of six O-level credits obtained in a single sitting.
Eligibility – Inclusive Education Category (Visually Impaired Students)
In alignment with inclusive education objectives, the JV is offering scholarships to blind or visually impaired students enrolled full-time in their second year of study in any accredited Nigerian university, regardless of discipline.
Academic Criteria:
- Minimum CGPA of 2.5 on a 5.0 scale (or equivalent).
- Minimum of five O-level credits.
This scholarship program is part of the NNPCL–Chevron Joint Venture’s broader social investment portfolio.
