Palm kernel oil (PKO) is a lucrative product from palm oil fruit. After palm oil is produced, the palm kernel remains. Processing the kernels provides an additional source of revenue. Traditionally, palm kernel nuts were cracked by hand. This tedious and inefficient method was then replaced by a cracking machine, which could crack the nuts, but separation of nuts and shells still had to be done manually. This new technology can crack the nut and then separate the nuts from the cracked shell. This is efficient and helps the processor avoid impurities.
