Imo state government commits N5bn for rural development

About five billion naira has been set aside by the Imo state government for massive development in the rural communities in the state. This was made known by the Governor Rochas Okorocha at the inauguration of the 305 Government Liaison Officers (GLOs) representing each of the 305 Independent National Electoral Commission’s Wards in the state.

UNICEF Unveils $2.8 Billion Project for Children’s Education

A $2.8 billion appeal to reach 43 million children in humanitarian emergencies worldwide has been announced by the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF). The appeal comes with a giant share of 25 percent going towards their education.
