In recent times, a number of donor agencies (UNICEF, USAID, The World Bank, etc.) have engaged in the provision of water and sanitation systems in rural areas of the Niger Delta where there are gaps in access to these services. However, funds appropriated by different development agencies for the provision of WASH facilities in the region have not achieved desired results due to the region’s volatility, and the constant eruption of violent conflicts.

This report examines the conflict capacity of stakeholders in the WASH Program across 10 Local Government Areas in the Niger Delta
