WASH Team Visits Ogini Grammar School in Delta State
August 15, 2017Girls Learn The Biology of Menstruation at the ATED Centre
August 15, 2017When girls know that they have access to clean and efficient toilets in their schools, they are more willing to enroll in school, attend classes and get an education.
This is why the Appropriate Technology Enabled Development (ATED)’s Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) project partnered with Procter and Gamble, Niger Delta Partnership Initiative (NDPI), H2O for Life and Rotary District 9140 through the WASH-in-Schools programme to provide basic water, sanitation and hygiene facilities for schools in the Niger Delta.
These girls from schools in Okrika, Rivers State, are examples that show why this works.
PIND believes that when women get an education, they are better able to contribute to the economic development of the Niger Delta.
