The Abia State Government has proposed an Education for Empowerment Programme aimed at reviving technical colleges in the state to train youths on technical skills for self-reliance.

As part of efforts to reduce indolence among the youths and in response to the resolution to empower youths in the state, the Akwa Ibom state Executive Council has approved the establishment of 10 sports academies proposed by the state government.
