The Rivers State government in its bid to reduce the spread of malaria in the state has consistently provided treated mosquito nets. The State Commissioner for Health, Sampson Parker said this at the 2014 Long Lasting Insecticidal Net replacement campaign held in Port Harcourt.

The World Bank and European Union (EU) have, again, commended the Delta State Government for what they described as the holistic approach in the implementation of the State Employment and Expenditure for Results (SEEFOR) projects in the state.
