The Shell Petroleum Development Company [SPDC] is set to launch the Port Harcourt Literary Society Public Library in the state.

Speaking to newsmen in Port Harcourt, the spokesperson of Shell Joseph Obari, said the ultra-modern Port Harcourt Library has been under construction since February 2014 and is part of the Port Harcourt Book Center Project.

The library which is located along GU Ake road, Port Harcourt has a 160 seating capacity in its adult section.

Residents of Port Harcourt have decried the lack of a modern library in the city. Hopefully, the ‘ultra-modern’ Port Harcourt Library will fill that gap.
