The Chief of Staff to the Imo State Government, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu has indicated interest to participate at the forthcoming Imo Youths Entrepreneurship Summit as the Special Guest of Honour.

This cheering news was released to newsmen by Hon. Remy Chukwunyere, the Principal Officer to the Imo State Governor on Employment and Job Creation today in his office, as preparations for the big event are being tidied up.

According to the job creation enthusiast and social entrepreneur, “through this summit, we’re offering young entrepreneurs and innovators the rare opportunity to network and share ideas with each other for both scaling up and partnership purposes. As an entrepreneur and business coach, I understand the importance of such a platform as this and I feel that’s the best Christmas gift the government of Imo State led by His Excellency, Owelle Rochads Okorocha can give to Imo youths this festive season.

For me, I strongly believe that the massive job creation and employment generation promise made by the Governor for Imo youths must not be in the public sector alone. We want to use the opportunity provided by this Summit, to advance our campaigns for a private sector driven economy for the State by encouraging youths who have skills that can create jobs for themselves to launch their startups.

Surprisingly, I didn’t know that most technological advancements launched in Lagos were developed by Imo youths, who are being exported to Lagos on a daily basis from the schools here in Imo State, especially the Federal University of Technology, Owerri.”

He therefore said that the summit will enable his agency identify those youths with innovative ideas and present them to the Government for sponsorship and other necessary support.

Other special guests expected at the summit holding tomorrow, Saturday, December 10, 2016 at the Imo Youth Center are Hon. Kenneth Emelu, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth Affairs; Hon. Obinna Obiefule, the Principal Officer, Students Affairs; etc.

To provoke participating Imo youths into action are renowned business coaches and social innovators like Chukwuma Anurukem; Kachi Ogbonna; Emmanuel Azubuike; Isaac Utere; Esona Onuoha; Ngozi Maduakoh; Anthony Akalugo; etc.

Hon. Remy Chukwunyere thereafter called on Imo youths to grab this rare opportunity provided to them at no cost to better their lives.
