History was made on August 15, 2017 at the Investment Forum, which was the concluding segment of the 2-day Presidential Economic Diversification Mission to Imo State.

At the Investment Forum and during the tour of facilities and ailing industries across the State, investors were seen scrambling for the abundant investment opportunities.

The scramble was not unconnected with the juicy incentives promised them by Governor Rochas Okorocha, who also informed the participating development banks, including NEXIM, NIRSAL, Bank of Industry and Sovereign Wealth Fund that his government would guarantee the investors since they cannot succeed without funding from the financial institutions.

Others who shall benefit from the largesse promised by Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha during the Forum are the foreigners, who he said will receive automatic resident permits from the country.

The Governor thereafter beckoned on all other interested investors who were unable to attend the Investment Forum to avail themselves of this golden opportunity to invest in Imo State, which is at the center of the Southeast region and has become a tourism destination since the emergence of the Rescue Mission Administration in 2011.
