This research looks at industrial activities in Rivers state and their impact on the quality of local water bodies. Findings are generated from a survey carried out among fishermen, farmers and the general public living around Okrika river and complemented with assessments of water samples. It explores how a deterioration in water quality affects fishing, the livelihood of river communities, and their overall living standards.
