October 26, 2015The first microfinance bank in Bayelsa has just been commissioned by the State Governor Seriake Dickson,
The bank known as Izon-Ibe Microfinance is located at Azikoro Road in Yenagoa, the state capital.
The Governor said the bank would provide the needed assistance to both budding and established businesses in the state.
According to him, the microfinance bank will be the first owned by the government and its opened to all living and doing business in the state.
The Governor has also dedicated the sum of N25 million as start-up for each of the branches of the bank in the local government areas which he would be commissioning them in the course of his campaign tour ahead of elections before the end of the year.
He urged all traders, Civil servants and pensioners in the state to make use of the bank and open accounts with it.
