The Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has assured that the Delta Steel Company worth billions of Naira would commence full operations in 14 months.
Governor Okowa made the statement while addressing the leaders of Delta North Senatorial District during a solidarity visit at Asaba. He said fruitful discussions had been made with the owners of the company that took over the DSC during the recent India/Africa Business summit in India. The Governor was among the governors who accompanied President Muhammadu Buhari on his visit to India.
Governor Okowa met with one of the companies that took over the Delta Steel Complex, Aladja and concluded plans on reviving the DSC within months. He said the DSC was the Pride of Delta State and that it will be a thing of joy and Achievements of the state.
The Governor also added that the people should be receptive tothe investors and help them in which ever way they can to achieve success on the project.
