The Project Development and Reporting Officer, under the supervision of the Deputy Chief of Mission and direct supervision of the Programme Support Officer, will collaborate closely with relevant units at the Regional Office and Headquarters. Their primary responsibilities include:

– Contributing to the development of results-based programmes, concept notes, and project proposals, ensuring alignment with IOM and donor requirements.
– Reviewing resource requirements, documenting programmatic needs, gaps, and opportunities.
– Assisting in aligning project development and donor reporting with IOM global, regional, and country strategies.
– Supporting the endorsement process for concept notes and project proposals.
– Assisting Project Managers in drafting donor reports.
– Researching funding opportunities and maintaining donor profiles.
– Cultivating effective relationships with donors and project partners.
– Drafting visibility materials and organizing donor briefings.
– Facilitating capacity building and training activities for staff.
– Maintaining accurate records of correspondences, project development, and reporting files.

Qualifications and Experience:

– Master’s degree in relevant fields with two years of professional experience or a Bachelor’s degree with four years of experience.
– Experience in project development, technical writing, and donor relations in the humanitarian/development sector.
– Familiarity with Results Based Management and strategic planning approaches.
– Proficiency in report writing in humanitarian and/or development settings.
– Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
– Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
– Proficiency in English; knowledge of French or Arabic is advantageous.

Languages:

– Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French or Arabic is advantageous.
