PIND Invites Proposals for Coastal Communities Off-Grid Energy Challenge Fund to Expand Renewable Energy Access in the Niger Delta
May 26, 2025The Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) has launched its 2024 Annual Report, reflecting a year of collaborative action and evidence-based progress toward sustainable peace and inclusive development in the Niger Delta.
Anchored by the theme “Legacies. Impact. Strides. Footprints,” the report provides a comprehensive overview of how PIND’s work continues to generate long-term value across communities in the region. In 2024, PIND supported over 101,000 farmers and MSMEs, unlocked more than ₦24.66 billion in investment, and contributed to the creation of over 25,000 new full-time jobs, advancing inclusive growth in the region.
In parallel, PIND deepened its peacebuilding interventions, training 1,200 peace actors, resolving 130 local conflicts, and facilitating community dialogues that are fostering trust, reducing violence, and laying foundations for long-term stability.
The report goes beyond statistics to share real stories of transformation, from youth leading community initiatives to local businesses scaling sustainably and peace actors bridging divides.
Together, these legacies, impacts, strides, and footprints reaffirms PIND’s unwavering commitment to building a thriving, more resilient Niger Delta through strategic partnerships and systemic interventions.
