The ATED Centre supported the 2017 Menstrual Hygiene Day tagged ‘Education about Menstruation Changes Everything’. Menstrual Hygiene Day is observed globally on May 28 every year and is a day where girls and women across the world are educated about the importance of good menstrual hygiene.

The ATED Centre collaborated with Hopes and Dreams Initiatives to educate school Girls from across Warri, Delta state on Tuesday, June 30, 2017. The event took place at the ATED Centre, Warri.

Girls who attended the event learned about the biology of menstruation and why it is important that they maintain the best hygiene possible during their periods.

This event was done in light of ATED’s Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) program that aims to ensure people in the Niger Delta live healthy, clean lives.
